  9. Clicking on PREVIOUS WEEK http://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/usmap.htm you can see how the 3 states surrounding California just lost their "SPORADIC" status. Which no doubt means CA is about to follow. Time for that flu shot. ( Last year Rite Aid was using the new short needle )

  1. The very first Bill the Republicans passed after they took power in 2004 was to change the Bankruptcy law so that people could not file for bankruptcy and keep their home any more.
Instead they have to stay in debt forever -- hounded by creditors.

    Meanwhile Corporate Bankruptcy remains unchanged.

  3. Fascinating and Pathetic! Massive breaches at Experian and LexisNexis .

"I alerted the three major credit bureaus of the theft and reviewed my credit report to rule out any further damage. I then called every financial institution that I ...have an account with to set up a new, unique verbal password that they will ask me each time I call. Two banks required that I visit one of their local branches to set up the password in person. "

"After taking these initial protections, I then submitted an affidavit to the Federal Trade Commission and visited my local police station to fill out a report. The latter allowed me to put a five-year freeze on my credit report with all three credit bureaus.
I’ll have to jump through some additional hoops the next time I want a new credit card, but the freeze should make it much harder for a thief to open a new line of credit in my name."

Then Beth Huning, (coordinator of the Fairfax-based San Francisco Bay Joint Venture) Perhaps you can do something about a Sports Complex construction in the middle of 2 forks of Gallinas creek (surrounded by Clapper Rail) ? 6. Know that in California the only policies affected ( for replacement at a HIGHER premium) are 1% of all policies. Only 6% are INDIVIDUAL policies ( not EMPLOYER policies). And only one sixth of these are affected with HIGHER premiums.

And... a bit of history: Originally Obamacare was SINGLE PAYER -- by the time it got hacked to death by Republicans in Committee - it emerged as it is today. The Democrats caved on many issues -- back in the Committee stage -- otherwise it would have failed to pass ( like Hilary's attempt got killed by Republicans back in 2000 ).See More
  7. Instead of converting millions of people into statin customers, we should be focusing on the real factors that undeniably reduce the risk of heart disease: healthy diets, exercise and avoiding smoking. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/14/opinion/dont-give-more-patients-statins.html
